RivInt Interpretation and Translation Services (formerly known as Riverdale Interpreters) has been in operation since 2001. RivInt is a non-profit, community based business managed by Elspeth Heyworth Centre for Women (EHC). We are dedicated to providing exceptional language services to the health and legal sector by focusing on the interpretation needs of the service providers and their clients.
As well, RivInt services for immigrants and refugees reach to all areas in and around the Greater Toronto Area. A rapidly growing population of new immigrants in Canada has created an extensive need for translation and interpretation services. Recognizing this increasing need, RivInt has been offering its services to non-profit organizations, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, health centers, legal services, insurance companies, the City of Toronto, and many other organizations. Our prime focus is to bring service excellence to the community at large and provide assistance to non-English speaking citizens, immigrants and refugees.
RivInt now has a roster of over 460 carefully selected, independently tested and professionally trained interpreters serving more then 60 distinct languages. Our recruitment and training efforts are ongoing with the support of Healthcare Interpretation Network.
